3) How would MacPhee’s go about building a cellar for me?

After discussing your individual requirements, MacPhee’s will design a unique cellar to suit your needs using proper insulation, professional climate control equipment and a wide range of racking systems.

If you prefer, MacPhee’s can liaise with your designer, architect, or builder and work with you from the design stage through to the completion of your cellar.

4) How does MacPhee’s charge for their service?

You can contact MacPhee’s to discuss your requirements free of charge.  We do charge an initial consultation fee for preliminary reports, developing plans and making site visits.  This fee will be credited towards the project when you choose to proceed.

6) Can I use an air conditioner in my cellar?

No, an air conditioner is not cool enough and pulls too much moisture from the air.  MacPhee’s recommend a refrigeration based specialist cellar system.

7) Can you only build cellars underground?

No, any space can be converted into a cellar with the right building and equipment.

8) How long will it take?

A modular system can be selected and installed within a week or two. Custom cellars take around 8 to 12 weeks manufacturing plus time for initial design.
